Yep I changed my name, as mine has never been very useful as a username, having three first names all jumbled together, easily mixed up, too many syllables, and a hyphen in my real name which isn't even on my driver's license because they don't use that character in the making of the card!
Naming oneself can be a very renewing experience. It's one of the many choices in life that we have no say in, so to rethink it after being alive for several years and forming an identity separate from ones parents and their motivations, feels liberating. Even though it's just a username, and all my "real life" documentation is in my given name. It's short, sweet and easy to remember. Just like me! Hahaha jk
Having said that reminds me of other name games we like to play. Naming pets, imagining what we'll name children. It can easily become misguided when you start naming human children "Bear" or "London" or "North". These aren't cute little extensions of your personality. They aren't opportunities for you to excercise what little creativity you may possess. They are future adult humans. Give them names that mean something in and of themselves, and are actual NAMES. Or write a book and fill it with characters that have silly names. Or adopt some cats. Or give yourself a new name! And a new life! Don't make babies just because you don't think you can't make anything else interesting.
I'll step off my soapbox now.
Someone made the offhand remark that I should make a graphic novel. You know how people find out you can draw so they throw endless ideas at you of things you should be drawing, instead of what you're already drawing? As if you didn't have enough to do already!?
I laughed it off. Pfft. Me, write a comic book. I don't even like comic books. What even would it be about? Ha. Hmmmm...
and all of a sudden all these goddamn ideas started scratching around in my head like mice in an attic. They won't leave me alone! This is not what I had in mind. Which makes me think I ought to pursue it. But the amount of work might kill me. I think I'll start with page one. And if you all don't hate it, I may continue. Because I haven't the faintest clue how to write anything, but I've read hundreds of books, so hopefully I've learned something from osmosis. Anyway it feels like I'm channeling something, but it's only coming in chunks. Hopefully they'll send me the middle bit soon.
Aaaand im on Patreon now! So send me one dollar a month as my tip jar! Once I get a page of this infernal story done I'll put that up there and shake my can for more $ www.patreon.com/Noxfae

Festwick is a book now.
Well it will be anyways!
I just finished chapter 3, although after I edit this thing, this will probably all be lumped into a single chapter. Subscribe for early access or because you want to help me keep my subscription to youtube red, which provides me with so much inspirational music.
Chapter 1 and 2 are available publicly for anyone's consumption! The story, like me, has changed so much in the past year. It's even better now than the comic! But don't worry, all the characters are still there. I really don't know what I'm doing as far as using Word, but it's totally legible. I'm not sure if my indents are right, or the paragraph breaks
Best Line drawing program?
Seems to be debate about which program is best for drawing linework - Photoshop, paint tool SAI or Clip Studio paint?
What do y'all think? I'd love to make it work with Photoshop, and I don't hate it so far, maybe I just need practice? Or is there a significant difference?
Any techhies who can advise?
Hello my loves
I got the most gorgeous present for Christmas- a Microsoft Surface Book! With the stylus! I can draw a n y t h i n g!
How do I best use this tool to make draws? If you're reading this you probably are familiar with my style. I don't need to make anything hyper-realistic or insanely rendered. I'm considering uploading my linework and just coloring it in here. But I am very tempted to go 100% digital. In which case I will want good brushes. Can I get away with the Photoshop elements app? what do all the best digital Deviants use?
Theeenks! And Merry Christmas!!
Any suggestions?
Let's say I have 600 gift card for Amazon. Should I buy a drawing tablet? I want to create a better quality online comic. This ballpoint pen method is great and I'll probably like, make textures or something with it. But I only have photoshop Elements, so is there any point in getting a fancy tablet if my computer is old? Or can I get most of everything done on the tablet. Do the tablet programs have fonts? I know nothing

Ooh, good luck with the graphic novel idea! I once tried that about ten years ago and lost my patience with it, and eventually just wrote the whole thing out as a regular novel. It's a lot of work, for sure.
Sometimes I think I'd like to change my name, but Enamorte is pretty much my professional alias by now (is there such a thing?), and changing it would just be confusing. Plus I don't even know what I would change it to.
